At DeLoach Vineyards their passion is Pinot Noir!  Their new winemaker Greg La Follette was the winemaker and general manager at Flowers on the Sonoma coast, and launched one of the most successful small Pinot labels to date.  He was also named "One of the 5 finest producers of Pinot noir by Robert Parker's Wine Advocate."
Deep ruby in color this Pinot Noir exhibits cherry, mint, leather and eucalyptus characteristics on the nose. The palate is big, round and supple with prominent cherry and cranberry fruit flavors complemented by notes of smoke and black pepper. The Francis Coppola Diamond Series of wines are made from grapes grown in the cool valleys along California`s rugged coast. Rich and ripe, these wines represent the individual flavors of the varietals accentuated by twelve months of barrel aging. 2004 Pendulum Red Table Wine, Washington - Regularly $26.99

Excelsior Estate has been owned by the de Wet family since 1870. The current owners are Freddie de Wet and his son Peter de Wet.  Over the years the estate has been known for producing thoroughbred racehorses, and in the fifteen years between 1980 and 1995, Excelsior bred eight individual Classic winners.  In 1981, a modern winery was constructed and today eighty percent of Excelsior is planted with vines.  With the use of drip irrigation, canopy management and harvesting at optimum ripeness, Excelsior Cabernet Sauvignon is the top selling South African Cabernet Sauvignon in the USA.  The wine has sweet fruit flavors, good structure, soft ripe tannins and a soft, clean finish.
